Q: How many days is the Retreat?
A: The Retreat will take place over five days and four nights, from Saturday, October 12 – Wednesday, October 16, 2025.  

Q: What is included in the cost of the Retreat?
A.  All-inclusive meals

·    Airport transfers from/to Cancun (CUN) 
·    Welcome Cocktail Party
·    All White Party (Tues, 10/15)
·    Daily Retreat Workshops
·    Daily Yoga, Meditation, and Fitness activities
·    Swag bag

B.  Accommodations:
·  All inclusive
· 24 hour room and reception service
· Bell boy
· Parking
· International entertainment programs (day and night)
· 1 hour per day free (subject to availability and Upon request,) kayaks, tennis, catamarans for hire, snorkeling
· 24 hours free WI-FI throughout the hotel
· Guests can use all the facilities and restaurants of the all hotels of the complex, except the    buffet. Guest can use the Buffet of the own Hotel
· Sports: soccer, volleyball, pool, water polo, table tennis, darts
· Unlimited á la carte dinners (reservation and formal dress required)
· Private lounge with bar
· Butler’s Menu (upon request)
· Separate swimming area at the beach with a bar and waiter service in the hammock area
· Private pool area with a shaded terrace area, canopies and a private bar where premium beverages will also be served
· Diving lesson in the pool (subject to availability and upon request, a lesson per person per stay)

REMEMBER: During your stay, you´ll enjoy a Butler service to take care of all your needs.

Q: What is NOT included in the cost of the Retreat?
A: Airfare

Q: Are excursions included?
A:  TULUM RESORT-arranged excursions are not included in the Retreat price. 

Q: What if I’m coming alone and I don’t have a roommate?
A:  We will assign you a roommate if you are booking a double-occupancy room.

Q: Are flight costs included?
A: Flight costs are not included in the cost of the Retreat. Here are some guidelines for flights:

Saturday, October 12 : You may arrive as early as you’d like but may not be able to check in until 4 p.m.

Wednesday, October 16: Breakfast Farewell before flights from  Cancun (CUN) Airport

Q: What do I need to travel to Montego Bay? 
A: A valid U.S. passport.

COVID-19: A COVID-19 test is waived for fully vaccinated individuals.  These requirements are subject to change, so please refer to this travel and information health site for the government of Jamaica: https://jm.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-jamaica/

Q: How early should I book the package?
A: It is recommended that you book as early as possible, as space is limited at this event. In addition, booking earlier will enable you to take advantage of a longer payment schedule if you opt for a payment plan.

Q: Is there transportation to and from the resort?
A:  Yes, there will be transportation from  Cancun (CUN) Airport after arrival on Saturday, October 12, and to Cancun (CUN)  Airport on the date of your departure from Tulum roundtrip.

Q: Are the costs of the Retreat refundable?
A: You may cancel at any time, but please note our cancellation policy:

Due to the nature of time-based and capacity commitments with the resort, ALL payments will be considered non-refundable, which includes the full and installment payments. Of course, the exception to this policy is if the Retreat is canceled.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. 
We understand that unexpected occurrences happen. Due to the possibility of any extenuating circumstances, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover both your airfare and the Retreat cost.

Q: Do you recommend travel insurance?
A: Yes, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.  Unforeseen circumstances (death in the family, illness, etc.) can happen to anyone. Being unprepared will cause you to miss the Retreat, as well as lose your investment.  

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable national insurer. Travel insurance offered by an airline does not apply to an entire trip, but simply covers airfare. Many travel insurance firms are available (Allianz, etc), so secure your trip after purchase by buying travel insurance, as our refund/cancellation policy will be enforced, no matter the circumstance.  You can use the tools found on the following website and choose the best insurance for your needs:  TravelInsurance.com.

Q: What can I expect at this Retreat?
A: The goal of the retreat is to provide five days of health and wellness workshops, expert speakers, practitioners, sisterly comradery, and goal planning that will lead to better emotional, psychological, and physical health.

Q: When will I receive a Retreat schedule?
A: A preliminary Retreat schedule/agenda will be provided by September 2024.

Q: How often will I receive communications about the Retreat?
A: We will communicate regular updates on newly added speakers, new offerings, and any other updates related to the Retreat. After you register, be sure to go to The Girlfriend Getaway private Facebook Group for all of the latest details and to make new friends even before the Retreat begins.

Q: What type of food will be offered at this Retreat?
A: There is all-inclusive pricing for meals, and we will offer restaurant menu recommendations, focusing on healthy options.

Q: Is alcohol included in the cost of the package?
Yes, alcohol is included in the all-inclusive pricing. We will also have alcohol at our Welcome event and the All White Party. 

Q: What should I bring?
A: A suggested list of items to pack include:

·    All-White Outfit for the White Party
·    Yoga pants, sports bras, shorts, and t-shirts
·    Bathing suit(s) for pool or beach
·    Bathing suit cover-up
·    Resort formal wear for dinner/dancing
·    Light Jacket or Sweater  for cooler evenings
·    Sneakers
·    Flip-flops, or other comfortable sandals
·    Earplugs, particularly if you are sharing a room
·    Drugs like aspirin, Tylenol, Dramamine, Neosporin, and Tums/Imodium
·    Insect Repellent
·    Sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat
·    Your medication, if applicable
·    Books to read under the palm trees.
